This is what I have done to diagnose and try to get around the problem. First, a fresh install of WoT A) Login to WOT server and enter "settings->sounds". Both sixth sense type1/type2 is played when I press "test sound".. WORKS like a charm ! B) Install XVM. Restart client. Login to WOT server and enter "settings->sounds". Neither sixth sense type1/type2 is played when I press "test sound".. FAILS ! Nothing can be heard. C) Install QuickyBabys modpack (which includes XVM) over XVM mod. Restart client. Login to WOT server and enter "settings->sounds". Both sixth sense type1/type2 is played when I press "test".. WORKS like a charm ! D) Install XVM again over QB's modpack. Restart client. Login to WOT server and enter "settings->sounds". Neither sixth sense type1/type2 is played when I press "test sound".. FAILS ! Nothing can be heard. As far as I can see, there has to be an issue with XVM... This is not a problem for XVM, it's all planned. We have our own sound to voice the light bulb. In order for them not to be played simultaneously with the standard sound, we turn them off (muffle). a_whinner Posted November 7, 2017 Author Share Posted November 7, 2017 Well, that explains the "test sound". However, I am still having issues "ingame". I am starting to think that something else is in error (os/pc). For some reason, the "left hand" side sound suddenly stops working and I have to restart the client. Its just during "battle". In garage, I have stereo, but, after a while in battle, the left sound stops and I have to restart... Perhaps driver upgrade or something else can help me.... So, will continue to diagnose what it is (now I atleast now why the sounds cannot be tested using XVM)..
