Top clans loaded from server

Recommended Posts

"top clans icons now taken from the XVM server and tops list is updated daily" (taken from the 6.0.0 changelogs)

Is there a way to see which clans are currently considered "top"?

Maybe some sort of a list with the clans names?

EDIT: Found out that the link to the clan icons is as follows:

stat.modxvm.com/emblems/top/32x32/*CLAN_ID*.png

(e.g. 500006779 for EFE)

Now I'm looking for a list of the currently top clans IDs (or even names).. ;)

Reading through this I'm wondering if it will be at all possible for clans that are not actively competing on the global map to increase their ELO rating (since they don't directly fight other clans)..?
It is a question to WG. I'm not an expert, but it seems to me that the answer is "no".
Still, the discussion led to a conclusion, that a rating for top clans should probably be redesigned and until that redesigh ELO will be a temporal measure.

Would it be possible to disable this, so XVM just uses the ones in the dir, i.e. the old way?

Yes, it is planned to do so soon.

I am looking forward too. Hope it will come soon. Thanks!

Edit:

I am not sure if it work (maybe just no battles with no top clans) but probably i have temporary solution:

  • Delete directory "icons" in "res_mods\mods\shared_resources\xvm\cache\"
  • create an empty file there with name "icons"
  • change attributes of the file to system and hidden
