Alfalis 15 Posted February 21, 2015 Hi, I'm trying to change the blowupMessage from the default "{{l10n:blownUp}}\n{{dmg}}" to something like "Ammo Rack!" but as far as I can tell changing this part of the config doesn't do anything, only changes to the l10n files (in my case en.xc) have an effect. I'm running my own custom config but as changes in there didn't do anything I tried running and changing the default configs but this didn't help either.. Could someone please verify this or tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thx in advance! bw Alfalis Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites

Alfalis 15 #253785 Posted February 21, 2015 (edited) Are you changing the files for dead players? I've changed "blowupMessage": "{{l10n:blownUp}}\n{{dmg}}" to "blowupMessage": "Ammo Rack!" in the following files: markersAliveExtended.xc markersAliveNormal.xc markersDeadExtended.xc markersDeadNormal.xc but it kept showing "Blown-up!" and the damage.. EDIT: I changed every "blowupMessage" I could find in the default configs, don't know what else to do.. Alfalis 15 #253798 Posted February 21, 2015 zip the configs folder and attach it here Attached the "configs/xvm" folder. It's from a fresh install of XVM (6.0.0.3, official release from modxvm.com) with nothing changed but the four aforementioned files xvm_configs.rar Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
sech_92 469 #253992 Posted February 22, 2015 @Alfalis, strange you didn't notice For individual configuration of the mod, you can use the following ways:1. You can rename boot config file:/res_mods/xvm/configs/xvm.xc.sample to xvm.xcSource: http://www.modxvm.com/en/xvm-installation-and-settings/ Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
Alfalis 15 #254007 Posted February 22, 2015 Thanks, as it turns out I missed this bit so the changes I made to the default configs had no effect and in my custom config I forgot to specify the damageText for dead players All solved and working now, thanks again :) Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
