Mixaill Posted May 4, 2014 Share Posted May 4, 2014 1. Install latest Wine sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install wine 2. Install dependencies through winetricks winetricks d3dx9 d3dx9_43 d3dcompiler_43 lucida ie8 msxml6 vcrun2008 wininet 3. Install World of Tanks Download EU, NA, ASIA, or RU version installer and execute it. Also, you can use client installed on windows before. Note: World of Tanks performance on NTFS partition is lower than on ext* partitons. 4. Install XVM Download XVM (zip archive). Extract XVM for your publisher (WG or Lesta) to WoT folder. Rename [WoT folder]/res_mods/xvm/configs/xvm.xc.sample to xvm.xc In res_mods/xvm/configs/ rename folder Default to something else (this example uses the koreanrandom). In res_mods/xvm/configs/ rename file xvm.xc.sample to xvm.xc (i.e. remove the extension .sample) In res_mods/xvm/configs/xvm.xc (which you've got after renaming) specify the path to your configuration: ${"/koreanrandom/@xvm.xc":"."} instead of the default ${"Default/@xvm.xc":"."} In res_mods/xvm/configs/koreanrandom/rating.xc change the value of showPlayersStatistics to true (the default is false). 5. Run WoT 5.1. Only one videocard Double click Worldoftanks.exe file or execute wine WorldofTanks.exe from terminal. 5.2. Intel HD graphics + NVidia Optimus (bumblebee) execute bumblebee wine WorldofTanks.exe from terminal. 5.3. Intel HD graphics + NVidia Optimus (PRIME) 1. Open Nvidia X Server Settings 2. Enable NVidia videocard in PRIME profiles 3. Log out and log in 4.
