dziban303
But I can't find a proper file to launch it or to install it. That's because it's the source code, not the program itself. You'd have to compile it. The executable file has been removed from that post. From what I can understand via Google Translate, the dev stopped updating it and its no longer compatible with xvm configs. An editor with a preview function is sorely needed. XVM has gotten more and more complicated to configure and the tools to make it easier have all been dropped. 1 @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Azbuka
the dev stopped updating it and its no longer compatible with xvm configs Yes, because XVM develops very fast, and XCTuner developers (@Ded_Shalfey and @Skiffmaster) just don't have time to add new features. An editor with a preview function is sorely needed. Making always up-to-date tool requires team of 4-5 developers. XVM has gotten more and more complicated to configure and the tools to make it easier have all been dropped. Configure XVM is easier than it looks. 1 @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Vingles
Configure XVM is easier than it looks. Do you have something you recommend for me to start with? :) @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Azbuka
@Vingles, 1. Use text editor with JSON syntax hightlighting or a special editor for xvm configs - XCPad. 2. Start with default XVM configuration, because it have useful comments. 3. Documentation in ./doc folder contains description of basic XVM components. 4. Most of information are avaible only on russian. Google Translate makes a bad translations - try to use other services (I prefer to Bing Translate). 5. If you get any fails - check xvm.log in WoT root directory. It can help you to fix error. 6. You always can ask a questions in this forum. Use this opportunity. 1 @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
