Cannot connect to chat server

Hi,

After 9.6 after I created some groups in contact list windows I am not able to reach contacts anymore and only have 'Connecting' message below.

It is somehow linked I think to XVM comments. When clicking the window I get xvm message " Can not connect to chat server" Any ideas how to fix this?

So far I tried - remove all mods, clearing the cache, copying over all wot files from notebook, even reinstall wot from scratch. Still there. It does not happen on notebook, only desktop so the issue is local.

Why not client message?
Does removing all mods fix the issue? Could you attach xvm.log & python.log from a game folder?

I met such issue on the internet recently and it was observed without mods. Try disabling firewall software.

If I am not mistaken xvm contact comments are the only part of xvm modifying the contact list so that was my route of thinking. And somehow xvm cannot reach the xvm servers to get my commnets and the window is stuck. But I might be definitely mistaken. And I did not decided, I just think it is related. In no way I am saying it is xvms fault just that there is a relation somehow :)

It is a client message saying that XVM Network Services are not available (while statistics service records etc are working fine). Removing all mods did not fix it. Pretty sure it is not firewall but thinking about it it might actually be peerblock blocking it somehow. will check tonight and report back.

Hi,

after browsing a lot I found this topic in German section of the forums

And clearly the issue is with groups - I deleted the groups from on my notebook and voila suddenly chat works even on desktop. So apparently something is broken in chat groups for some specific configurations.
