Morbii
I upgraded to XVM 5.3.6.1 with the micro patch. Everything was working fine before the patch with the previous version. After the patch, the older XVM did not properly show everything, so I upgraded. Now I get this error in the loading screen at the bottom and an all default configuration is used: [NO_REF_FILE] file is missing: res_mods/xvm/configs/Morbii/@Morbii.xc: NO_REF_FILEJSONxError: file is missing: res_mods/xvm/configs/Morbii/@Morbii.xc at method id: 3()[/home/xvm/xvm- (it cuts off after that point). So, given this information, it's clearly reading xvm.xc to see what configuration file I want it to use. However, it can't find the file. The file is definitely there. If I reinstall the old version, it has no problem finding the configuration file (but the same problem that caused me to upgrade still exists). I tried changing all my files from ANSI to UTF-8, but that didn't help. What can I do about this? @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
sirmax
Please attach your config @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Morbii
Here it is. There are numerous files, so I'm attaching a zip file. I just noticed this in the main config: "gameVersion": "0.9.2" Not sure if that matters (it didn't for the first version of XVM I downloaded). sirmax
You have bad encoding of the files "@Morbii.xc" and "colors.xc". 1 @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Morbii
Do you have any way to fix this? And is this something new (i.e. are the files being loaded more strictly)? As I mentioned earlier, older versions of XVM didn't have a problem with these files. @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites

As I mentioned earlier, older versions of XVM didn't have a problem with these files. Save its with the UTF-8 encoding with BOM. You can use notepad for this. This requirement was always, but some time age we change the mechanic of the file loading. 1 @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Morbii
I did save it like that with Notepad++. I will try Notepad... Using Notepad instead of Notepad++ worked. Thank you much! @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
