Yzangard
Hello, I would like to use XVM snippets to print data from my own scripts (python ones), is there a way to send data there ? @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
sirmax
You can do it yourself from your script. Use pprint for example. @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites

Hey Sirmax, glad someone as talented replied :) Problem is I never used XVM but for already made stuff, now I want to add my own stuff but something is missing for me : how do I call snippets from my own script ? Of course I may add system.messages or GUI.Text but I prefer using XVM if possible since job is already done and very well done. What does pprint do exactly and how do I tell pprint to print in a said snippet and not another ? Not sure I'm clear :p @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
sirmax
First of all, forget about snippets, they are for another purpose. You can create your own mod, using XVM as platform. You can use src\xvm\xvm-clock.as3proj for example of the Flash part for hangar and src\xpm\xvmstat as example for python part. For battle we have no extensible mods framework, all our code is in the xvm.swf file. We are waiting when WG will move battle GUI to the AS3 like the hangar. If system.messages or GUI.Text is enough for your task, may be it is the best solution for now. @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Yzangard
Yes but GUI.Text or system.messages don't allow you to change fonts for example. Well, maybe I'll stick with them since what I need to print is during battle and XVM don't provide a way to do this. Thanx for you reply Sirmax @ Quote Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
