  1. XVM is truly the swiss-army knife of utils.

The first mod I ever installed, and the sole reason I bothered with mods was to stop click-spammers.
Yes I know it's easy to block them, but some players are just excited and they don't realise how disruptive there behaviour can be.

Now I'm hoping that XVM would have something in it's infinite treasure chest that could easily block repeated minimap clicks at the exact same spot, and that I've just not found how to turn it on yet?

If it's not available, then please consider something along these lines.

    • We have precision clicks for people with XVM and quadrant clicks for people without.
    • My hope is that we could quash repeats within a 15 second window.
    • This way spamming players could continue clicking and everybody else  would be less annoyed.

Thank you all for your time, and I'm sorry if it's really obvious and I just missed it.

  2. I'm sure you've figured this one out by now, but just in case you haven't.

    1. download the zip archive and unzip it
    2. copy the one file in mods/<patch version number>/com.modxvm.xfw_<XVM version number>.wotmod from the archive to the equivalent location in your tank installation.
    3. copy the 2 folders config and mods from the archive res_mods location to the equivalent location in your tank installation.

Archive formats using zip are fairly universal these days, you should be able to open the zip file by just double clicking it.

Step 3 needs to be done every time there is an new release as configs and resource files do change.

For the bonus point check out the <Wot installation>/res_mods/config/xvm/default/hangar.xc file, and turn on credits as default for premium resources and auto move of binocular and camo nets, being able to lock your free XP and Gold so that you don't accidentally use them etc.

Best of luck and enjoy XVM.

  3. XVM is not working/starting up when I start WOT now?  It has been working fine until today.  I uninstalled XVM and reinstalled, I have activated it, updated it XVM 6.7.2 and it shows that I am active for 2 more weeks but it is not working in WOT.  I asked other people today if XVM is working for them and they all have said it is working.  I really would like to get XVM working as I have used it everyday and it has been working fine, except not anymore.  Is there a boot file or something that should be starting up XVM whenever I start WOT?  THanks

This was solved yesterday and discussed in Whats-the-problem-with-updates.

It's good practice to read all previous threads before posting a new one.

  4. 2) If it is also possible, the flag of the country where that tank is from, to remove any guessing work od where the tank is from and go buy it.

Are you referring to the originating "tech tree" country or the player country?

As for the player country, that's something you can set with the XVM settings part so that isn't always true.

There used to be a helpful additional piece of code you could add to XVM to see what language client used, good as it indicates is some the countries without an native client use an language you share. But it was discontinued.

    Dear Catch21,

Kontrad509 is right as always, the slightly longer answer is:

You were very close, if you have a look in res_mods/mods/shared_resources/xvm/doc/macros.txt you will on line 51 see:

    Personal macros (applied for player)
    ┌───┬────────────────────┬───┬───┬───┬───┬───┬───┬───┬─────────────────────────────────────────
    │SDH│ macro              │ BL│ PP│ SF│ MM│ VM│ HI│BLb│ Description
    ├───┼────────────────────┼───┼───┼───┼───┼───┼───┼───┼─────────────────────────────────────────

    │ H │ {{position}}       │ X │ X │ X │ X │ X │ X │   │ position of the player in the beginning of the battle (1-15)

  6. Hi good people of XVM,

I have a friend that asked me to follow up the "IS-6 B" vehicle, where the v.battletiermax in the carousel shows as 10, but from what we been able to gather it should be 9.

Where is the info coming from, the API or an DB within XVM?

Source of the claim for preferential MM http://worldoftanks.com/en/news/pc-browser/31/is-6-shadow/
