  1. So, I've installed clean XVM, used default configuration, disabled everything that was possible to disable and removed all the macros for in-battle stats and stuff and no-avail; there are maybe 4-5 fps more than on the full config on, but it's still far from the results without XVM (55-60 FPS with vertical synch on vs max 30 FPS with XVM). IMHO, problematic are the swf's that are provided with the XVM. I could remove battle.swf but it breaks the minimap. I guess that when I come home I will try to remove the swf for the minimap and see what happens.
  2. I've tried this already, but I'm open to try it again. How should I do this? I don't see option to disable options in the conf files. Removing conf files loads the default, i.e. if I remove playersPanel.xc the default conf will be used. I used couple of confs which should not display stats in game, but from what I saw - they all did load it in the background, simply did not display it and it still made frames drop.
  3. Okay, I'm one of the (many) people who see massive FPS drop when using XVM but I have to say that I'm used to couple of the features of XVM, especially the tank carousel. I've been messing with the packages and swf's yesterday and saw some promising results when I removed couple of the SWF's and xvm_packages but could not create a solution with only fixes to the UI of the game to have only the in-game clock, tank carousel and crew switcher. Is this possible? Would it be possible to create a fork of the XVM with only in-garage UI fixes? I mostly interested in tank carousel as every modder I see has dropped his own solution since XVM incorporated it.
