XVM makes game choppy and unplayable?

I cant use XVM anymore because it makes my game run so bad. The FPS doesnt seem to drop much but the game is really choppy. Without XVM installed I have a steady 30fps and it runs fine, so I know the issue is with XVM. Even with stats turned off still have the problem. Any one else have this problem?
