How can I retrieve the version of the current WoT patch through the API?

Current patch is 1.20.0.1 and the mod folder is named the same. But is there any way to retrieve this value through an HTTP API request?

I don't know of an API or other convenient way, but it can be done in a quirky way.

1. HTTPS GET https://wgmods.net
2.  Find in the source code

   window.__SETTINGS__

3. The JSON from this string contains a list of versions, including the current one.
