: Version 4.1.1 not using the vehicle names defined on xvm.xc

Recommended Posts

On my xvm i defined under "vehicleNames" all the names of the tanks.

I noticed yesterday, after i upgraded the xvm version, that the names i used reverted to the default ones.

I just tried this without any other mod:

first i tried 4.1.0 and the names i defined were used in the "MARKERS" and the "BATTLE" menu, while loading or while pressing TAB during the battle.

After that i shut down WOT, replaced 4.1.0 with the 4.1.1, keeping the same xvm.xc
Started WOT, went into battle and the names i defined were ignored. The default ones were used, so there must be a problem with 4.1.1 that is causing it to ignore the vehicle names defined on xvm.xc

i created this issue and was marked as invalid.

https://code.google.com/p/wot-xvm/issues/detail?id=483

I´ve edited the @Default/vehicleNames.xc and added my tank names, but i still have the default names.

Anyone having this problem?

Hi dude, to specify your own names for tanks, follow the instructions:

  • Install the latest XVM
  • Open Explorer and go to the folder ...\World of Tanks\res_mods\xvm\
  • Rename the file "xvm.xc.sample" to "xvm.xc"
  • Go to the folder ...\World of Tanks\res_mods\xvm\configs\@Default\
  • Write your own names in file "vehicleNames.xc"

I hope you got everything you want, and good luck in battles =)

Been there... done that ...

My xvm.xv works perfectly on 4.1.0

Only after upgrading to 4.1.1, the names i defined on xvm.xc stopped working.

I even used the new vehicleNames.xc, added the names i used, and i still get the default names.
