Minimap ping limiting function, the holy grail in some randoms.

Recommended Posts

XVM is truly the swiss-army knife of utils.

The first mod I ever installed, and the sole reason I bothered with mods was to stop click-spammers.
Yes I know it's easy to block them, but some players are just excited and they don't realise how disruptive there behaviour can be.

Now I'm hoping that XVM would have something in it's infinite treasure chest that could easily block repeated minimap clicks at the exact same spot, and that I've just not found how to turn it on yet?

If it's not available, then please consider something along these lines.

  • We have precision clicks for people with XVM and quadrant clicks for people without.
  • My hope is that we could quash repeats within a 15 second window.
  • This way spamming players could continue clicking and everybody else  would be less annoyed.

Thank you all for your time, and I'm sorry if it's really obvious and I just missed it.

Rhopegorn.

There is an option in minimap.xc

    // Show cell click animation.
    // Отображать анимацию клика по ячейке.
    "showCellClickAnimation": true,

Is this the XVM precise dots or grid quadrant clicks in general, or both? And I assume this is this an all out on/off switch?

I think some of us are looking for a rate limiter, rather than completely disabling the system (which is useful not only between platoon mates and during SH and CW, but also in randoms if they're not spammed).

There used to be an antispam mod (originally made by assassik if I'm not mistaken), but it's no longer maintained. And now that XVM has introduced the dots, that one would, even if updated, probably not rate limit those :)
