How to increase player panel width, so player name fits better (instead of shortened)

How do you increase the space containing the players name in the player's panel (during play of a game)?  Currently there are limited characters that shorten player names.  I want to see more of a players name - so which file and element do I need to change to modify this?  Thank you.

Where the value is 15 - the number of characters in the nickname that will be displayed without trimming.
