[English] Need some help

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I know this is a Russian forum but I was hoping some of you who speak English could help me as I am having some problems editing the xvm.xc file for XVM 4.0.

I load the xvm.xc file into the editor on the XVM website and make changes just fine. But, when I go to save the file, the saved file comes out all scrambled like in this screenshot:

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong that is causing this? I've tried saving it as full config, and just regular save, and I've tried to overwrite and save a new file but it always comes out like in that screenshot.

Trying to edit the file manually would be very tedious but I feel like that's all I can do right now.

Thanks guys!

If there is a configuration file from 3.5.0, I advise you to use this script: http://www.koreanrandom.com/forum/topic/4643-split94-22062013-%D0%B0%D0%B2%D1%82%D0%BE%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B8%D1%87%D0%B5%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9-%D0%BF%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%B4-xvmxvmconf-%D0%B2-%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B2%D1%8B%D0%B9-%D1%84%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%82-%D0%BA%D0%BE/

He reworks the old to the new configuration.By the way, there is a description in English)))

Also in this issue a great text editor to edit the XVM-config 4.0.0: http://www.koreanrandom.com/forum/topic/4691-100150-110613-xcpad-%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BA%D1%81%D1%82%D0%BE%D0%B2%D1%8B%D0%B9-%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%B0%D0%BA%D1%82%D0%BE%D1%80-%D0%B4%D0%BB%D1%8F-xvm-%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BD%D1%84%D0%B8%D0%B3%D0%BE%D0%B2-%D1%84%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B0-4/

Thank you I tried the script to convert one of my old 3.5 files and it created a folder with all the separate files like battle.xc and hitlog.xc but it did not give me an xvm.xc file to put in the main /res_mods/xvm/ directory. I don't know what to do with @xvm.xc either

I may have to use a text editor because I can't seem to get the editor to save anything correctly here: http://www.modxvm.com/en/xvm-xvm-xvmconf-configuration-editor/ :(

I attached my old 3.5 XVM config below.

I also attached my current 4.0 XVM config that I'm unable to edit in the editor program to make it have my 3.5 settings.

Thank you!

XVM.xvmconf

xvm.xc

Strangely, the script itself should set the path to file.A was a confirmation of a successful save the config?

There is the XVM.xc file with the pass to config folder in my archive ..

It must work correctly .

В архиве есть XVM.xc файл с указанным путём к рабочей папке .

Должно сработать .
