DEbranded 8 Posted January 12, 2018 Hi there, I made a little modding of the carousel and use new vehicle icons as well as new background icons. Now I want to put all files in the new wotmod format. The vehicle icons are placed in gui/maps/icons/vehicle. The other icons are placed in mods/shared_resources/xvm/res/icons. I know, I have to put the vehicle icons in folder /res and pack it to a wotmod (zip file). But where do I have to put the icons placed in mods/shared_resources/... ??? Is it possible to put XVM files in a wotmod, at all?? Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
DEbranded 8 #419113 Posted January 22, 2018 Nobody?? Anyone got an idea how to make xvm files (*.xc) editable and usable with wotmod format? each xvm config mostly has its own directory (e.g. .../aslain/... ) each user has its own personal interests Is there any chance to make config files (like *.json in /mods/configs folder) for xvm? Back to .wotmod... The game uses mods dir as the root directory for .wotmod archives. Just put your icons in .wotmod format. Zip up the mods/0.9.2xxx/xxx.wotmod folder beside the res_mods/WHAT_HAVE_YOU and away you go. The entire thing doesn't need to be in a .wotmod file (it cannot in this case anyway). Or have a look at an installer maker if you are concerned about people running into install problems perhaps? Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
DEbranded 8 #419153 Posted January 23, 2018 Thanks for your answer, that's the way I do it right now. But on EU WG forum there was a post, some days ago, where a player posted that WG will stop using /res_mods folder and only use /mods folder for any kind of mod. Therefor I wanted to know if there's any possibility to put XC files in wotmod but also make them "editable" (like for example json files).
