leeuniverse 61 Posted May 2, 2017 We had the ability once, but I can't remember was it removed?, and we still can't add them since then? This ability would be very useful... Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
nilsenth 5 #388640 Posted May 3, 2017 I just go to settings in xvm site top bar and activate XMQP. This works for me. When i did it last time i got the spotted icon on the minimap as well. But i use the latest default config. Best regards Nilsenth Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
leeuniverse 61 #388643 Posted May 3, 2017 Hmmm.... It's activated. But, I'm using Aslain's xvm and whatever atm, since I'm delaying updating mine given the amount of work I have to do on it after being gone a year. Maybe I'll compare the default with his and see if I can see what's missing. Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
nilsenth 5 #388645 Posted May 3, 2017 hmm, just to be clear, it is this you are talking about, i have marked it on the minimap and in the PP. Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
leeuniverse 61 #388648 Posted May 3, 2017 Yep exactly.... Good to see it's still there, will apparently have to compare the two. Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
leeuniverse 61 #388854 Posted May 4, 2017 hmm, just to be clear, it is this you are talking about, i have marked it on the minimap and in the PP. Could you upload your playersPanel.xc file for me? I just downloaded the default XVM, and I'm only seeing Enemy spotted icon code, not Ally at all. Thanks Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
konrad509 445 #388897 Posted May 4, 2017 (edited) Check the xmqpServiceMarker section. It's thanks to the XMQP service that you're able to see spotted indicators for your own team. But keep in mind, that those indicators are only visible for players who also have this service enabled and who have Sixth Sense perk studied. It only shows sometimes, I noticed that. Why in the world would they restrict the function like this...??? When they originally put this function in it worked great, just like the enemy spotted one. Now it works completely differently and isn't even thus helpful. XVM Dev's.... If you're listening, please please make Ally Spotted Markers work like the Enemy ones again. Here is my playerPanel.xc i use only the default one but here it is, also i have my complete configs folder here to, if you need anything else just let me know. Ya, I see the problem.... They don't even have it's own Macro, it's simply going through the xmqpServiceMarker Macro... Totally stupid.... Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites

I wish it would work like the enemy spotted, it would be nice. Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites

That's why there's XMQP and the requirement that others have to have it enabled as well. It's not "restricted" by the XVM guys; you are ranting at the wrong party for the wrong reasons. leeuniverse 61 #389272 Posted May 6, 2017 Wasn't really a rant toward the XVM dev's, the rant part was more toward simply not having the ability whatever the cause and Wargaming. So, the "totally stupid" was toward Wargaming limiting XVM apparently. Don't know why though, if we can do it for the Enemy we should be able to do it for the Ally's. Again, more Wargaming stupidity. scyorkie 50 #389279 Posted May 6, 2017 Looking at your previous post, "they" could only refer to the XVM devs, since they are the ones who "put in the function". In any case, this is not a case of WG "limiting XVM" either, it's just the XVM devs coming up with a new idea and putting it in place despite the current limitations of the vanilla client. We'll just have to wait and see if WG agrees that this functionality is useful. I have it turned off myself. Quote Share this post Link to post Short link Share on other sites
