llVIU 0 Posted December 22, 2014 How can I turn it on? I don't understand how I should fix this... I used to just have one single easy to use file with all the configs, "xvm.xc", and I could easily open and edit it using the online editor http://www.koreanrandom.com/z/sirmax/xvm-editor/XVMEditor.swf however, whatever I tried, I couldn't get garage to show 2 rows instead of one... so I got a convertor to have a whole big folder with 33 files in it... hard to edit, hard to find anything... but that was the only way to edit the garage carousel... but now with 9.5, I got a new problem. Enemy spotted status markers don't work. The default one works... mine doesn't. my "playersPanel.xc" http://pastebin.com/uUMk0sRa (it's strange that "enabled": true is outside the { } thingy, but that's how it was... I didn't put it there... and it worked in 9.4. If I put it in the { } thingy, it doesn't work) my "text.xc" http://pastebin.com/4M9nqAAe After searching and searching... I found that the enemy spotted status marker section was supposed to be in text.xc... this is the default "spotted": { "neverSeen": "", "lost": "<font face='$FieldFont' size='24' color='#999999'>*</font>", "revealed": "<font face='$FieldFont' size='24' color='#FFFFFF'>*</font>", "dead": "" } However, if I add these lines in MY text.xc, it doesn't work. Putting the whole default file in my config doesn't work. Adding that "enabled": true thingy doesn't work Whatever I try, doesn't work. sirmax 5,499 #237244 Posted December 22, 2014 Editor was dead long time ago. We have no time to maintain it. So the only way is to use notepad or special editors like XCPad or XCTuner. The main problem is when I add { "alpha": ${"playersPanel.spottedMarkersAlpha"}, "x": 0, "y": 5, "valign": "top", "bindToIcon": true, "format": "{{spotted}}", "shadow": {} } to my "playersPanel.xc", the marker works, but then everything else goes do default xvm and it ignores my custom config. The moment I remove this line, my custom config works again. Secondly, previously, I had the " * " disappear the moment the tank is spotted, now it seems to be the opposite - it appears when the tank is spotted and fades to grey when the tank is lost. Is there a way to change this? ______________________ EDIT: Ok, after hours of testing I seem to have gotten rid of the first problem. With playersPanel.xc in build 3526 I can edit the players panel while keeping my custom config *only* if I edit the file in notepad. With xctuner, it goes to default settings. Basically, I replaced my old playersPanel.xc file with the new one from build 3526. (Save a copy of your old playersPanel.xc) Then using notepad instead of xctuner, I edited "nickFormatRight" and whatnot until it matched my previous settings. llVIU 0 #237302 Posted December 23, 2014 I'd say most changes are due to wg changing the game, and xvm has to adapt... plus, it's not their job, so it's hardly motivating to just slave away countless hours to fix the irritating bugs caused by wg or whatever else... they might just make a simple single file bug-free and editor yet again... but maybe next month the next updates fucks everything up again and they might have to start from scratch... commo81 0 #237713 Posted December 23, 2014 Spotted markers are not working on my end.....I get these Stars instead which are semi-annoying when you look quick and don't see them cause they are white.....I use colored markers, but regardless of what I do to correct it with the XVM, it does not go away. Help? Shot 283 is last patch, what it is supposed to look like, Shot 301 is today, what it currently looks like.
