Aimless
No, it's ok. Try to remove res_mods/.stat link if it is exist. This link only appears when XVM is running, correct? I deleted it after XVM started, but also didn't help. Oh and another thing I noticed: the prompt window doesn't close when I quit the game. Just says 'Stopping server'. This was also different, back when XVM was working. So I am quite sure something blocks communication between WoT and XVM. Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
sirmax
Reboot and do not delete .stat while XVM is loaded if you don't want to see BSOD. I don't know how to help you, sorry. Edited October 10, 2012 by sirmax Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Aimless
No problem mate, maybe I'm able to find something myself. I'm going to keep you informed if I got any news. Btw deleting the .stat link while XVM is running doesn't cause any problems at all on my computer. I tested it two more times ^^ If anybody could do me a favour he could have a look if any Microsoft .NET Framework services are getting started when XVM and WoT are running. On my computer, the .NET Framework 2.0 services are deactivated by default, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 services are activated but dont get started either when XVM starts. My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Edited October 10, 2012 by Aimless Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
sirmax
xvm-stat-1.0.0.test1.zip and all future versions will require .NET 3.5. It is included to Windows 7 bu default .NET 4.0 is not required - it is different framework, not compatible with 3.5. Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Aimless
I looked into my system control yesterday and noticed .NET 3.51 wasn't installed. I then added it and at least I noticed a change in the prompt window (web exception 503 - server not available). However, nothing else for a change. Still wondering why XVM 3.0.1 was running before my first attempt to update it. Today in the evening I will give xvm-stat-1.0.0.test1 a try. Aimless
Hi again, this error message was indeed only temporary. Solved the whole problem yesterday after several ineffective experiments. I wiped all current and former WoT installations completely, uninstalled the Dokan again, restarted, ran a registry cleaner and then reinstalled on another harddisk. Then I reinstalled Dokan and unpacked XVM 3.0.3. Now everything runs fine again. According some messages of the Cleaner, there certainly has been a problem with the registry file and/or maybe too many WoT directories. I'm still wondering why I couldn't get to work XVM on my wife's PC, as there has never been more than one single WoT installation, no XVM or any other mod. Nevermind, the person who's playing there doesn't consider using it anyway. Thanks for your concerns everybody. Tormentis
Now my Dokan stuff is all right but now when I open WoT, and when I get to the login screen, I fill in my stuff. Then I click 'connect' and WoT just shuts down... (only if I open with xvm-proxy....) here's the log of my XVM: 2012.10.20 10:54:11 WoT XVM Proxy v3.0.2.22487 2012.10.20 10:54:11 [D] MountPoint: D:\Games D\W.O.T\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\.stat 2012.10.20 10:54:11 [D] Unmount previous mount 2012.10.20 10:54:11 [D] Create MountPoint directory 2012.10.20 10:54:11 [D] Creating server thread 2012.10.20 10:54:11 [D] Starting server thread 2012.10.20 10:54:11 [D] Dokan thread: Starting main loop 2012.10.20 10:54:11 Timeout: 10000, MountPoint: .stat 2012.10.20 10:54:11 Game Region: EU (detected) 2012.10.20 10:54:11 Time: 141 ms, Size: 36 bytes 2012.10.20 10:54:11 [D] responseFromServer: {"players":[{"id":1,"status":"ok"}]} 2012.10.20 10:54:16 [D] Dokan thread is alive 2012.10.20 10:54:16 Starting game process: WorldOfTanks.exe 2012.10.20 10:54:16 [D] Check game process 2012.10.20 10:54:21 [D] Wait for process to exit 2012.10.20 10:54:50 Stopping server 2012.10.20 10:54:51 [D] Dokan thread: Main loop ended 2012.10.20 10:54:51 Dokan: Success Nothing strange on first sight if you ask me.. (editted:) Oh right, when I start WoT through XVM, it automatically deletes my .stat folder in my res_mods folder (which makes it also unable to start WoT through the normal launcher) for some reason.. (editted 2:) And apperently when I open the XVM proxy thing, it makes the .stat folder again and when I close the WoT screen (or when it gets shut down) (which XVM proxy opened), it deletes it automatically again. But when I open XVM proxy and close the black window (the log) then the .stat folder remains in my res_mods folder. sirmax
Try this: http://code.google.com/p/wot-xvm/downloads/detail?name=xvm-stat-1.0.1.zip And send XVM.log after running. Also send screenshot of battle loading screen. Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Tormentis
There isn't a battle loading screen because my WoT shuts down during connecting. Now I tried running the game with the stat xvm thing from what you gave me a link, it still got shut down (I placed all the files of the zip file inside my WoT folder, same folder with my regular WoT launcher). Here's the log it made: 2012.10.20 12:11:58 XVM Stat v1.0.1.26773 for XVM 3.0.4+ 2012.10.20 12:11:58 [D] MountPoint: D:\Games D\W.O.T\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\.stat 2012.10.20 12:11:58 [D] Unmount previous mount 2012.10.20 12:11:58 [D] Create MountPoint directory 2012.10.20 12:11:58 [D] Creating server thread 2012.10.20 12:11:58 [D] Starting server thread 2012.10.20 12:11:58 [D] Dokan thread: Starting main loop 2012.10.20 12:11:58 Timeout: 10000, MountPoint: .stat 2012.10.20 12:11:58 Game Region: EU (detected) 2012.10.20 12:11:59 Time: 229 ms, Size: 36 bytes 2012.10.20 12:11:59 [D] responseFromServer: {"players":[{"id":1,"status":"ok"}]} 2012.10.20 12:12:00 [D] Dokan thread is alive 2012.10.20 12:12:00 Starting game process: WorldOfTanks.exe 2012.10.20 12:12:00 [D] Check game process 2012.10.20 12:12:01 [D] wotProcess: File: D:\Games D\W.O.T\World_of_Tanks\WorldOfTanks.exe InternalName: OriginalFilename: WorldOfTanks.exe FileVersion: 0, 8, 0, 0 FileDescription: World of Tanks Product: WorldOfTanks ProductVersion: 0, 8, 0, 0 Debug: False Patched: False PreRelease: False PrivateBuild: False SpecialBuild: False Language: Engels (Australië) 2012.10.20 12:12:01 [D] Wait for process to exit 2012.10.20 12:12:41 Stopping server 2012.10.20 12:12:42 [D] Dokan thread: Main loop ended 2012.10.20 12:12:42 Dokan: Success Edited October 20, 2012 by Tormentis Link to comment Short link Share on other sites

sirmax
Strange enough. Try to start WoT, connect to server, AFTER that start xvm-stat.exe with option /noauto (add /noauto in shortcut preferences). Link to comment Short link Share on other sites
Tormentis
what do you mean with that option? I'm sorry but my English isn't that good, could you explain it more detailled or something? Or like, tell me exactly what I have to do. Edited October 20, 2012 by Tormentis Link to comment Short link Share on other sites

Tormentis
alright ok i'll try that Hmmm it says it's unavailable. It says I have to check if the filename and the path are correct. Do I have to change anything to the normal file too? Oh wait it works now (it's loading now) It says I have to start my game manually within 2 minutes. My log says this now: 2012.10.20 20:52:17 XVM Stat v1.0.1.26773 for XVM 3.0.4+ 2012.10.20 20:52:17 [D] MountPoint: D:\Games D\W.O.T\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\.stat 2012.10.20 20:52:17 [D] Unmount previous mount 2012.10.20 20:52:17 [D] Create MountPoint directory 2012.10.20 20:52:17 [D] Creating server thread 2012.10.20 20:52:17 [D] Starting server thread 2012.10.20 20:52:17 [D] Dokan thread: Starting main loop 2012.10.20 20:52:17 Timeout: 10000, MountPoint: .stat 2012.10.20 20:52:17 Game Region: EU (detected) 2012.10.20 20:52:18 Time: 778 ms, Size: 36 bytes 2012.10.20 20:52:18 [D] responseFromServer: {"players":[{"id":1,"status":"ok"}]} 2012.10.20 20:52:19 Please start your game manually within 2 minutes 2012.10.20 20:53:15 Stopping server 2012.10.20 20:53:16 [D] Dokan thread: Main loop ended 2012.10.20 20:53:16 Dokan: Success And it shuts down my game automatically again.
