XVM non-functional on new PC

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had any problems getting XVM to run in windows 8.1? I've installed the mod, but most of it doesn't work as far as I can tell, the stats, hitlog etc - only the minimap works partially (has the various viewrange/draw distance lines etc), but the tank names are "undefined" on the minimap and on top of that XVM causes the vehicle markers and hp bars above the vehicles to disappear as well. As far as I can tell there's no differences between the file placement in my mod folder between the not working xvm in windows 8.1 and the working xvm on my windows 7 laptop. Maybe XVM needs to have something else installed (since it's a new PC, it may not have everything needed) to get it to run normally?

@Harmless, it seems like you did something wrong during installation XVM. Try to:

  1. Delete all files in folder "res_mods/0.8.10"
  2. Download proper version of XVM (now it is "XVM 5.0.2 (WoT client 0.8.10)") from official XVM website
  3. Carefully follow the instructions from page "Installation and Settings"
  4. Let us know if everything is ok, or provide more information if the problem persists (screenshots, XVM.log, Python.log)
